Four years ago on May 22, 2021, septic shock nearly took me out. I never heard the word "sepsis" before. I'm celebrating my 4th Life Day by launching this educational and awareness podcast that will include interviews with sepsis survivors, families who've lost a loved one to sepsis, physicians, researchers, non-profits, biomedical industry experts, and people with chronic conditions and disabilities. I am disabled. I have POTS, Crohn's Disease, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, osteoporosis, (and half a colon - thanks to sepsis). I'm also a writer, a sepsis and disability advocate, and ambassador for the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation. I chronicle my journey with chronic illness and disability, and as a sepsis survivor @jackiesjourney4 on Instagram. We are still trying to pay off sepsis debt.
