Deliwe Nqai is South Sotho. She was born in Tumaho, Free State, South Africa, and grew up in Parys, Free State where she spent most of her early life. She later moved to Bophelong (Vaal Triangle). Career She started singing at a young age in church and at school choirs and later got involved in Jazz bands which exposed her to be a backup singer for many artists.
