The official channel for the Brooklyn club of the same name. Barbes has been in existence, at the same Brooklyn location, since 2002, with close to 1000 shows a year in our 60 person capacity room. The number of local and international list of musicians who have performed here is too long to list, but includes people from many different backgrounds: jazz, latin, balkan, arabic, experimental, classical, americana, folk and many difficult to label artists who have created their own path. Our new YouTube channel is a direct result of COVID. We had been firm believers in the unique experience of live music and social proximity - until it became impossible. We are embracing the the virtual world, with our series Tele-Barbes, and trying to stay as close to the live spirit that had kept us going for so long. Enjoy.
