Gathered here for posterity are the musical adventures of the band known as Bernie and the Burning Bograts, who did their thing in the South-East of the UK during the 1980s. This effort is dedicated to: all who were in the band, or who took part in making some noise on tape or on stage; to those who attended the gigs, and those who may nurture the odd fond memory of those times (not necessarily the same people); and to Laz Clarke who suggested the name for the band. It is especially dedicated to the memory of those who, 40 or more years later, may no longer be with us. Whatever their contribution, it was unlikely to have been their finest achievement, but at least it was fun! New to Bernie & Co? Whilst tapping into the Bograts vibe may be meaningful and/or entertaining for those with a personal connection to it, this is not necessarily the case for all-comers. Just saying! JG July 2023
