Zhengtao Pan is a Shanghai-born composer, arranger, orchestrator, and pianist whose work spans jazz, concert music, and media scoring. He is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in Jazz Writing & Film Scoring at the Eastman School of Music, after graduating from Berklee College of Music with a double major in Jazz Composition and Classical Composition.
His music has received major recognition including multiple DownBeat Student Music Awards, ASMAC awards, and selection by the Jazz Education Network. His large-ensemble works have been performed by leading artists and ensembles, and his collaborations include Benny Benack III, Walter Smith III, Itai Kriss, Rufus Reid, Sara Gazarek, Steve Wilson, Sean Jones, Miguel Zenón, Nicole Zuraitis, and Steven Feifke.
