Play Every Day is all about encouraging families — especially children — to be physically active for 60 minutes every day, whether that’s through organized sports, outings with friends and family, the creation of new tag games or just going solo. The Alaska Department of Health's Physical Activity and Nutrition Program launched the Play Every Day campaign to increase public awareness about the health concerns of childhood obesity and to motivate families to increase their physical activity to prevent obesity and maintain overall good health. Our goal is healthy families and children.
Play Every Day continues to focus on the health benefits of physical activity. The campaign also promotes reducing the consumption of sugary drinks and promoting water and plain milk as the healthiest drink options for Alaska children and their families.
