I've always been interested in writing music. I never bothered to learn any music theory, I just wanted to play the guitar and drums. Now I'm enamoured with the bass and learning some theory. These are compositions I've written throughout the years that I never bothered to share. A lot of it is "canned music": it's not live, it's synthetic, it was put away. I don't know what genre of music a lot these fall into. I like Bach, the Beatles, Black Sabbath and Cliff Burton era Metallica among other things.
I'll be the first to admit, that there wasn't a whole lot of attention to mixing any of this and there's plenty of tunes that don't work, elements that were just self-indulgent at the time, misplaced effects, the odd repititious riff, chalk it up to musical experimentation. And then there are probably some compositions that would work better with different instruments or key changes. Eh what are you gonna do about it.
