The Centre for Research Training in Advanced Networks for Sustainable Societies (ADVANCE CRT) is a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) CRT focused on Future Networks and the Internet of Things with applications in sustainable and independent living. ADVANCE CRT is an educational partnership between 5 Irish Universities: University College Cork, Munster Technology University, Trinity College Dublin, Technology University Dublin and Maynooth University. The Centre offers a 4 year cohort-based PhD programme which aims at training 120+ students. We are building up a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary community of researchers, which strives to create sustainable, inclusive and socially informed technological innovations: www.advance-crt.ie/ The Centre is funded under the SFI Centres for Research Training programme: www.sfi.ie/funding/centres-research-training/, which aims to provide training to students in digital, data and ICT skills for the future.
