Formed in early 2023, Born in the Purple combines hard riffing and deep growling with catchy melodies that build up to a grandiose climax. Their aggression is relentless but occasional clean vocals and harmonic lead guitars may offer some respite. Influences from classic Gothenburg metal to more orchestral groups combine to create a sound that is hard-hitting, catchy and often surprising. The Finnish band's debut EP "Purple-Born" came out in August 2024 and will be followed by full-length debut album in 2025.
