Back To The CHS was created as a response—to erasure, displacement, and the need for Black-led & Partnered spaces rooted in intention. Over time, the city changed. The scene changed. And so did the responsibility. What started as events has evolved into a mission. We are relaunching Back To The CHS as Black People. Love. House Music. This platform exists to build trust through underground gatherings, raise funds for organizations that support our community, and amplify the work of Black-led businesses, nonprofits, and collectives doing real work on the ground plus other partnering businesses. House music has always been about freedom, connection, and survival. This is about honoring that legacy—without exploitation, without shortcuts, and without forgetting who the culture belongs to.
