In 2023 we sold our home in North Carolina, downsized our belongings, and moved with our 3 dogs to south central Alaska! As high school sweethearts and a military family since 1990, we raised four awesome children in North Carolina. We now have a wonderful extended family with a beautiful daughter in law, two great sons in law, and three fabulous grandkids! Derek served in the Marine Corps and the US Army, retiring from the US Army. I went to school for medical assisting and Health Care Administration. I've worked in the medical/dental fields, restaurant management, substitute teacher and taught science in the after-school program. I have started my own woodworking business. Our purpose is to create a positive, family friendly, and compassionate atmosphere as we make Alaska our home.
