Changing Scene is a soulful fusion rock group from Southern Maryland. With influences that range from Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes, to The Mars Volta and Coheed and Cambria, Changing Scene combines cinematically infused musicality with compelling, emotionally intelligent lyricism.  The band formed in late Summer 2009 when soon to be high school freshman Chris Hoepfl and freshman JP Mudd decided to go jam after a neighborhood skateboarding session. The next four years at McDonough High School were spent recruiting bandmates, writing songs, and getting chaperoned gig experience. Shortly after the band members' graduation, Changing Scene played many house shows in the Southern Maryland area hosted by various members of the original music scene, as well as many gigs at local bars. To date, they have released two 5 song EPs, as well as their 2016 Full length Album, Chasing a Phantom, which was recently remixed and re-released.
