Since its formation in 2018, AKANOÁ has been collecting songs and releasing music that resonates. The EP “Uma ideia nesse mundo” (2022) introduced four tracks that captured the band’s sonic identity: an engaging fusion of rhythms and lyrics that move through personal experiences, reflections, and socio-political commentary. In 2023, the band released the single "A PRAIA", blending tribal nuances with reggae-rock elements.
In 2025, the band took a major step in its journey with the release of their first full-length album: “Entre Quedas e Calmarias” (Between Falls and Calms). The record reflects the duality of life, exploring moments of intensity and stillness through sound. Each track carries a piece of that journey, reinforcing the band’s unique voice and identity.
AKANOÁ is formed by Anderson Oliveira (bass), Caetano Cainã (drums), João Thibes (vocals), and Matheus Barbi (guitar). Together, they keep creating, exploring new sounds!
