In 2010 I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy with cataplexy. It was a relief to finally have an answer for my extreme fatigue, lengthy naps, unexplained weight gain and about 100 other mysteries that were negatively impacting my ability to thrive. At the same time, I was terrified. I thought my life was over. My otherwise hopeful and optimistic attitude faded in a flash. I had already become an avid researcher in the years prior to my diagnosis in an effort to uncover the mystery behind my suffering. So, with the help of 2 AMAZING doctors, books, support groups and the internet, I found others like me for clarity and support. What I discovered, saved me.
