Project Paradise isn’t just about living off-grid. It’s a series of short essay films about how we live, and what we’re losing along the way. I share the things we’re building on our land in New Zealand — collecting rainwater, growing food, heating with firewood — but beneath the projects are questions about freedom, simplicity, and the strange modern world we’ve built. I try to ask the questions that matter, and I read every comment. Together, maybe we can start to make a little more sense of things — and find a quieter, more grounded way to live. Project Paradise is about what you learn when you try to build a good life yourself, outside the systems designed to do it for you.
