Fairfood International is a vital part of the global movement of people who are passionate about facilitating change towards a sustainable food and beverage industry. Despite the fact that we can produce enough food globally to feed the world, our failure to distribute it evenly means that nearly 1 billion people go hungry every day. As a result, poverty and food insecurity all too often go hand in hand with agricultural supply chains. We have made it our mission to respond to the global need for a sustainable food industry and approach it by advocating for the sustainability of food and beverage brands worldwide. Fairfood was established in 2002 by volunteers, and has since evolved into a professional non-profit organisation, operating globally.
