When rummaging through an old trunk in his family home, a 7 year old LEMAIRE came across Redman’s highly explicit album, “Doc’s Da Name”. He began listening in secret, and before long - an obsession with hip-hop was born.
LEMAIRE continued gathering influence from an eclectic range of artists through his teenage years, (Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar, James Brown, Ed Sheeran) all of which shaping and defining the sunkissed, guitar-heavy, hip-hop sounds he is known for today. Currently based on the Gold Coast, Australia, LEMAIRE spends his days rolling up his favourite aspects of rap, pop, soul and funk into his own discography - all from his bedroom studio. Equipped with his Stratocaster, he has been lucky enough to produce alongside acts such as ILLY, Nerve, JK-47, Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy), James Angus (Example, The Veronicas), Tia Gostello, and Ali Barter.
