Chezwick is in it for the long haul. Scattered across the tri-state area but based in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, the band was conceived in 2013 by college friends Anthony Cardone and Dan Lamoureux. Life changes saw them disband in 2015 after the release of their debut EP “All In Your Head,” but the members stayed close friends.
As it turns out, patience pays off. Now, a decade after their inception, Chezwick is emerging as the band they were always meant to be. Cardone and Lamoureux form a tight rhythm section, rounded out by former tourmate Ryan Miller and original drummer Jacob Santarsiero on guitar. The music, now fully-realized, mixes the progressive post-hardcore of The Fall of Troy with the sophisticated grooves of Minus the Bear, and Lamoureux’s lyrics - sharpened by ten years of lived experience - spit venom at corporate greed while maintaining the love-thyself foundation so important to their ethos. Chezwick’s new EP, “What You Think Is,” comes out later this year.
