Jebel Ali Racecourse has been the heart of Dubai's racing legacy for many years. Following the guidance of H. H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the track and grandstand were constructed in 1990. The inaugural racing season commenced in 1991, featuring the renowned jockey Mr. Lester Piggott. During the years 1991–1994, a substantial number of race enthusiasts flocked to the racecourse, prompting the construction of a bigger grandstand in 1995 to cater to the growing audience.
