Echoes of the Sounds of New York City is a documentary series from the New York New Rock archive, documenting NYC’s underground live music scene from the 1980s to the early 2000s. Producer Wolfgang Busch, director Darryl Hell for Art From The Heart Films. Executive Producer Wolfgang Busch and Director Darryl Hell bring together a rare and extensive archive that preserves the energy and cultural impact of Rock, Pop, Metal, Industrial, New Wave, and Goth artists who defined the era. Since the mid-1980s, Wolfgang Busch videotaped more than 350 bands performing live at iconic venues including the Cat Club, Limelight, Danceteria, and China Club, and curated approximately 400 television episodes.
