MADNESS ON THA BLOCK (MOTB) is a revolutionary rap collective from Denpasar, Bali active since 2016. The group consists of five wild and visionary individuals: Kid Clique, Jenggo aka Funky Fink, B-Radio, Da Kriss, and Loseyes. Rooted in classic 90s boombap, MOTB fuses gritty rap textures with the raw dialects of Bali’s dark alleys. Their sound is confrontational, unpolished, and deeply grounded in street consciousness. Lyrically, MOTB navigates sharp socio-political critiques, environmental struggles, underground scene gossip, and the absurd poetry of everyday life—delivered with wit, anger, and collective resistance. Since their emergence, MOTB has released three studio albums—$UCKLAW (2020), CHYPERTENSI (2021), and PATOIS (2024)—alongside the EP MADFACE INVASION TRACK TAPE (2022). Beyond their own releases, MOTB has contributed to compilation albums such as PRE-TEXT FOR BUMRUSH and Brother Keepers by DEFBLOC, while actively collaborating with artists and producers across the island.
