The South African Secular Society is organised as a community that strives to develop and support the non-religious community in South Africa, to provide opportunities for socialising and secular education, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist/non-believing culture, to defend the principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against the non-religious and to work with other organisations in pursuit of common goals.
