Memory Lane Heritage Village is an award winning living history museum depicting coastal rural life in Nova Scotia during the 1940s, including life during and after the Second World War.
The Village features 18 rescued and restored buildings and host numerous events throughout the visitor season, including the Cold Waters Seafood Festival and the Nova Scotia Forest Festival. The museum is hands-on with artifacts that you can touch and explore, making the Memory Lane experience one that is immersive and unique. Rural industries such as gold mining, forestry, fishing and boat building are represented in our village buildings which also include a general store, one-room schoolhouse, church, icehouse and cookhouse. Antique vehicles include a 1928 Model A, a 1948 International pickup and a 1949 Farmal Cub Tractor. The Heritage Village is owned by the not-for-profit charitable organization, Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society.
