PC films is the official name for Putaruru College's Digital Video class. We produce short films, animations and anything in between for competitions and learning purposes. PC films is currently crewed by a group of 15-30 students ranging from year 7&8 to 13. It is supervised and taught by Mr Lanny Joe who alongside running his production company www.lannyjoeshoots.com is a professional actor who has been H.O.D. of Drama and Media Studies both in New Zealand and U.K. He recently starred in TV shows such as Underbelly NZ and The Jono Project. Under his guidance PC films has come to life and has provided Putaruru College with a start in what is sure to be a successful film club as well as a educational opportunity and experience for the students giving them a taste of what the filming and acting industries are like. Using a combination of professional equipment and video editing software the students of PC Films aim to produce quality and entertaining films for all to enjoy. Jeff (Yr 11)
