monocene is a German Croatian alternative rock band formed in 2023. The trio blends influences from grunge, post grunge and indie rock with emotional directness and a clear sense of conviction.
monocene’s music is driven by dynamics and tension. Wide guitars, restrained arrangements and a distinctive vocal presence shape songs that move between personal introspection and social observation. Lyrically, the band focuses on themes such as inner conflict, loss, mental health and social alienation.
Following their debut EP Superior and several singles, monocene released their first full length studio album More Than I Own on January 24, 2026.
