Jade de Lafleur's passion for music & acting started at 5 years old.She received her first big break when she signed to J Records(Clive Davis) &UnderDog Entertainment (Harvey Mason Jr. & Damon Thomas)as a member of the girl group Sophia Fresh, who later signed to T -Pain/Atlantic Records.While beginning her professional recording career, she also studied theatre at PVAMU,graduating with a B.A. in Mass Communications.She then toured internationally as a Background Singer/Dancer for Solange Knowles.Her first release was a critically acclaimed EP entitled Jaded. It featured "Smoking In My Car," co-written with master songwriter James Fauntleroy,while the title track was featured on Solange's Saint Heron compilation album.Her latest album The Green Horse, features standout singles such as Shotgun,Toxic, and Wave,featuring Seun Kuti.The original "Miss Mississippi" in the play P Valley,& most recently Co Starring in Marvel's Luke Cage,Jade is a triple threat Virtuoso on a fantastic Voyage.
