With innovative programming, continuous artistic development, and wide-reaching repertoire - often from the pens of our leading associate composers - we dare to step outside of the traditional mould to lead the way in brass band music and entertainment.
Firmly established in the Championship Section, the band have enjoyed a great deal of podium finishes in both conventional and entertainment competitions across the country. Originally from Derby City, Derwent Brass is now rooted in Belper in the Amber Valley of Derbyshire (England), comprising both male and female performers of mixed ages and backgrounds, hailing from near and far, all delivering quality music to uphold the position of the number 1 ranked brass band in the county.
