Ravenstorm: “The storm of the Dolomities”
Born amidst the majestic Dolomites of Bolzano in 2014, Ravenstorm is a metal band that blends the cold embrace of black metal with melodic death and viking metal influences. The band is composed of Riccardo Coviello (Ivar), rhythm guitarist and growl/scream vocalist, Giovanni Callegari (Johnny Thunder), lead guitarist and clean vocalist, bassist Laura Toller, and the powerful drummer Emanuale Pison (Pistone).
Subsequently, the group developed a unique sound, defined as "Dolomitic epic black metal." Their songs explore the theme of seeking light by facing darkness in a metaphorical and philosophical way, inspired by the lack of light in some Dolomitic villages that live in the shadow of the towering mountains. This creates a deep connection between their music, the mountainous landscape, and the surrounding culture.
