Living a simple life in the wilderness, building a self-sufficient lodging, this is what Boreal Off grid is all about. We are Victoria from Peru and Serge from Canada. We decided to go to the boreal forest in Upper north shore of Quebec to build a log cabin by ourselves and live there for a while. The life we chose will bring us towards a better connection with nature, healthy eating habits and increasing self awareness. Here you will find our story, see how we make things happen, learn about our challenges and hopefully follow us through this singular adventure. Due to the weather in this region, we will work on our project during spring and summer time. Last year, we found our site in the public land, made all the papers required and settle down to explore its potential. Now we are back to prepare the foundation and all the wood we will need for the construction of the log cabin next year. We hope we can inspire you to follow your heart as we do.
