CODED is a new AltRock project started by founding member Nic Bester, bringing together years of experience and a definitive primal voice. Having been joined by Charl on guitars, Jacques on drums and Daan on bass, the band delivers crunchy riffs with deep lyrics, driving Nic's vision to be SA's top AltRock band. Making music is CODED in the band members DNA, and they work tirelessly to achieve their dream. This has been said about the band. "The band displayed professionalism and are clearly well rehearsed. They obviously take what they do seriously. I thought that their ability to showcase a heavier genre of music in an environment like the V&A amphitheater and still hold the crowd's attention was a great indicator that they should win. Their set was well executed and very tight. Good melodies, great overall sound and a clever cover of creed's "higher" kept it interesting. They also looked the part and could back the look up with their musicality. Overall, a great band .
