Mycah Chevalier is a Washington, D.C.–born singer-songwriter whose soulful sound blends R&B, neo-soul, and modern pop into music that feels both timeless and deeply personal. She began singing at age four, raised in a family rooted in the performing arts and inspired by her aunt, Judy Leak, and her father, a seasoned musician. Her early career included performances with the Kennedy Center Children’s Theatre, the D.C. ArtWorks Program, and a vocal scholarship under mezzo-soprano Linda Allison. In 2010, she gained radio recognition with “Anticipation (The Remix)” on WHUR 96.3. Her career now spans over a decade, with international airplay and multiple award honors. Known as “The Creole Butterfly,” her Sophisticated Bohemian style reflects her signature “Butterfly Effect,” where music, style, and spirit unite.
