LALIT DOSHI MEMORIAL FOUNDATION - Late Lalit Doshi (1942-1994), IAS, completed education at Bharda New High School & St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Obtained Masters degree in Economics from University of Bombay with Gold Medal. Lalit passed away on 30 Jan 1994 while participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He belonged to IAS 1966 batch of Maharashtra cadre & served for 27 years. Lalit was known to many as a brilliant IAS officer, remarkably a gentle humane person, who seldom failed to give actual help to anyone in need and then efface himself. Friends, admirers, and relatives have formed the Lalit Doshi Memorial Foundation to perpetuate his memory. It is a registered public trust (No.E-15268-Bombay). Objectives - Arrange Annual Memorial Lectures Student Debates Institute annual awards for SME industry Cash prizes for academic performance for students and Fellowships for Research Students of Lalit's alma-mater Website - ldmf.org.in
