Fred Baus aka SpudBencer is an electronic musician and DJ from Luxembourg. He started producing electronic sound collages in 1996 as project m before producing bass-driven music under his in circles moniker. In 2013 his track sleep less was used in a Calvin Klein in-store campaign.
Fred shared stages with artists like The Field, Vitalic, Digitalism, 2many DJ’s, Benjamin Damage, Compuphonic, KXP… and played festivals in France, India, Japan & China.
After a hiatus of nearly 5 years, Fred is back as SpudBencer, exploring a more minimal, repetitive sound to take the listeners on a trip. His music is dark at times but can be melodic and bittersweet at other moments. His music is influenced by Plastikman and the minimal techno approach of M_inus and the Scandinavian label Hypnus but explores a more ambient route.
