Javier Ortiz (Zitrovision) is a handpan player and producer originally from Puerto Rico and Florida, now based in Spain. Zitrovision collaborates with artists worldwide to create elaborate, eclectic compositions that blend ethereal world sounds, ecstatic percussion, jazz fusion, and healing meditation music. Together with his partner and co-creator Sealskin, the duo explores new sonic dimensions of handpan music, world, and neo-soul. Zitrovision has collaborated with over 50 artists and recently released his deluxe double album “Waves of Resonance”—featuring an array of instrumentalists on bass, guitar, flutes, clarinet, saxophone, synth, vocals, and multiple handpan duos—accomplished in under two years since first picking up the handpan. Following a tour across Spain and Europe, including performances at the Swiss Handpan Festival and Pangonia Handpan Gathering, Zitrovision continues expanding his musical journey through a growing European handpan community.
