Geomancer is a post rock / hopecore / ambient project, started by Dale Hardman in 2022 in Adelaide, Australia. It has since expanded to include multi-instrumentalists Todd James (from Imaginary Nation, Beranger and many other bands) and Tyson Mahoney (of Mount Void). The first LP, "Bezerker Hypothesis", was released in 2024 and established them as part of the Australian post rock scene.
In 2025, they released a short EP "Red Sovereign", which included their first song to feature vocals.
In 2026, the band became a four-piece, with Todd leaving for Berlin and being replaced by Sid Behl, and guitarist Miguel Presbitero joining on second guitar. They had their first live performance at Echoes Fest in May 2026.
Their second LP is coming out in late 2026 and features a more experimental/ambient approach, while still carrying the post rock banner for Adelaide.
