From a young age, Sharuthie Ramesh has been breaking down the walls of societal norms, the intent to inspire being her driving motive. Her journey starts one fateful day after coming home from middle school, only to receive a call from a publishing company. Fast forward to now — she is a world-wide renowned author, a pro-Tamil activism writer, a lyricist and an artist known by the stage name " shaya " under her newly-opened record label, “WYN Entertainment," AND a full-time student at the University of Toronto. Sharuthie inspires her generation to challenge their own fate and carve their own path, all while speaking out about the struggles of Tamils and equality for all. Though the young woman has grown over the past few years, she remains the same curious person, ready to seize the moment.
