This aggressive, bass-driven Dubstep/DnB trio got its name from the smelliest and spikiest fruit in the world, and their presence, power, and sound are as raw and unique as the fruit's funky odor. And like the King of Fruits, the Brooklyn-based band's sound is not for the faint-of-heart. Durians' heady, visceral music is propelled by brassy live horns, heavy drums, and an extremely low hybrid bass, in addition to the synths and laptops normally featured in Electronica bands. The group's compelling shows have gained them a fast-growing reputation in the Northeast EDM scene, where they have opened for such acts as Dub Trio, The Egg, Sonic Spank, Biodiesel, Wobblesauce, Lespecial, London Souls and more.
