Donny Toker is an accomplished pianist based in the Washington, DC area known for his ability to improvise, play any genre of music by ear, and even compose original music. He graduated from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor of music degree in Jazz Piano Performance. Donny has studied under and performed with a wide range of professional jazz musicians, many of whom were once faculty at Peabody, including Gary Thomas, Michael Formanek, Paul Bollenback and his private instructor, Tim Murphy. He has also benefited from the teachings of Harry Appelman and Alvin Trask from Montgomery College where he has pursued both pre-Peabody and post-graduate study, and from Wade Beach.
