Videos from the Department of War Education Activity - DoWEA DoWEA is a field activity of the Office of the Secretary of War. It is headed by a director who oversees all agency functions from DoWEA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. DoWEA's schools are divided into 3 areas: Department of War Schools - Americas, Department of War Schools - Europe, and Department of War Schools - Pacific. Each area is managed by an area Director for Student Excellence. Within each of these three areas, schools are organized into districts headed by superintendents.
