Just a simple gardener trying to get stuff to grow in East Texas. We have 4 "gardens" currently but may add a couple more any day. We have the following gardens:
1. regular good ole' plant it in the dirt garden
2. hydroponics DWC (deep water culture) growing tomatoes, eggplant, bell pepper, and jalapeno
3. hydroponics NRT (nutrient film technique) growing lettuce (if we can grow lettuce in this Texas heat, we should be able to grow almost anything using this system)
4. RGGS (rain gutter grow system- I consider this the easiest of all. Once your plants are planted and you have the water set up, you just walk away and come back to pick the fruits of your "non-labor" :)
I hope you find at least one of the different types of gardening we do interesting. We will be updating weekly to show progress on each garden and maybe even throw in some good ole humor "East Texas style" occasionally.
