609 Steveston Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron is a division of the Air Cadet program in Richmond, BC. Composed of about 100 members, 609 Steveston offers a dynamic and enriching experience for teens between the age of 12 to 19 developing independence, fostering leadership capabilities, invoking curiosity in aviation, and promoting physical fitness. The Squadron meets every Wednesday night from 6pm to 9pm. Numerous optional activities such as Squadron Marching band, First Aid team, Effective Speaking sessions, Drill team, Air Rifle Marksmanship are also offered, putting the squadron motto: “A Posse Ad Esse” (From possibility to reality) into practice as Steveston Squadron strives to provide opportunities for young individuals to unlock their innate potentials.
