William Martin Willis, Jr. , Also known as "Marty", and "Willy". This is a site dedicated to my father, and his music. His musical career lasted from 1956 to 1966- and he stopped, came off the road touring, to be a "family-man". He was there in the beginning of Sun Studios rise in the late 50's and early 60's. 'Toured and recorded with many of the Rockabilly legends we all know- and he was their "Sax-man". You can find out more on his Wikipedia page, books, records, and articles written. Here are a few of the who's-who (and name dropping), here are a few: Conway Twitty, Charlie Rich, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Lee Riley, Eddie Cash, Johnny Bernero, Narvel Felts, Roland Janes, Barbara Pittman, and the Bill Black Combo. When musicians came to town (Memphis), they would seek him out and sit in he and his group "The Marty Willis Combo, e.g. Pete Fountain, Al Hirt., etc... Please enjoy.
